As requested by the community, The Shops at Santa Anita will contribute 22,000 square feet of rent-free administrative offices for use by the Arcadia School District, a performing arts theater with state-of-the-art equipment for use at no cost to Arcadian taxpayers or to the organizations that use it, and $10,000,000 for roadway upgrades to improve traffic flow.
Much as The Grove brought life and a new clientele to the neighboring historic Farmer's Market in Los Angeles’ Fairfax District, the success of The Shops at Santa Anita will help ensure that the treasured institution of the Santa Anita Park racetrack will endure for future generations to enjoy.
